Here’s a well known fact, buying Broadway tickets is NOT for the faint of heart. They can be incredibly expensive and if you’re not careful you can get scammed into buying tickets that are not worth the price you’re paying. To help you out here are a few website I have personally found to be helpful. Of course with ALL of these methods it is important to verify authenticity and remember the golden rule; if it sounds too good to be true, it is!
- Broadway Direct Lottery: This is the best yet trickest way to get Broadway ticket because as the name suggests it is based on chance. Essentially, you pay an entry fee between 30 to 50$ for a chance at Broadway tickets of your choice. I don’t recommend this as your only method to get tickets as, of course there is a chance you may not get any.
- StubHub: These are resell tickets so it is possible to get up-charged. However StubHub has a helpful guide of using colored dot to show how good a ticket price is compared to face value.
- Broadway.org: If you’re buying tickets online, this is the way to go!
- (The best way in my opinion) The Box Office!: This way is great as your paying face value for tickets, I recommend either going in person or calling them up to check times, prices, and availability. But the box office is only open between 12pm and curtain call of the show (typically an hour before the show begins) so move quick!
